The Helsinki Stock Exchange is operated by NASDAQ OMX. NASDAQ OMX Exchanges owns and operates also the stock exchanges among others in Copenhagen, Stockholm, Reykjavik, Tallinn, Riga and Vilnius.

The Financial Supervision Authority (FSA) supervises financial markets and participants in Finland. FSA regulations complement the Finnish legislation for credit institutions and capital market.

The Finnish Ministry of Finance is part of Government. The Ministry is responsible for strategic policy on the financial markets and ensures that the legislative framework for Finland’s financial markets is workable.
